Dr. Vahidreza Yasaee, (MD, PhD)

Dr. Vahidreza Yasaeeearned his medical doctorate from Iran University of Medical Sciences in 1993, and his PhD in Molecular Genetics from Sheffield University, UK. During his commitment period in one of the northern districts of the country, he achieved valuable experiences in Public Health Care network. After this period he awarded a scholarship by Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (SBMU) for Molecular Genetics in Sheffield University. He spent his PhD course in some UK National Health Services (NHS) centers such as Sheffield Pediatrics Hospital and North Trent Molecular Genetics Services Lab.

In 2008, by getting back home, he recruited by Faculty of Medicine at SBMU. He elected as the first director of Medical Genetic department. He revolutionized the genetic filed in the SBMU by establishing;

1. The first medical genetic department in faculty of medicine/ SBMU.
2. Graduate (MSc) and postgraduate (Ph.D) courses of medical genetics
3. A remote training center for medical genetic courses in collaboration with European genetic foundation (EGF) in 2004.
4. Advanced Educational program of medical genetics courses for postgraduate medical student.
